As the original founder of the business, I\u2019m immensely proud that over 45 years on we are still innovating, stepping up to the challenges set by our clients and delivering high quality tooling and moulding services. We still have clients today who have remained loyal to BEC since the start, that\u2019s testament to our hard work and unrivalled expertise. My role now is to ensure the continued success of the business, creating a legacy for the future however I\u2019m an engineer at heart, so I\u2019m naturally drawn to the toolroom and can\u2019t help but get involved with the difficult projects sometimes!<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>

I head up the technical side of BEC; quality assurance, production and keeping our machinery running as it should be. I think our wealth of experience and flexible approach makes us different from our competitors, its why customers come to us. Working with customers and seeing their ideas come to life has got to be the best bit though. Outside of work hours you\u2019ll find me on the golf course!<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>

\n Although I\u2019ve not been with BEC for as many years as a number of my colleagues I feel so welcomed and quickly settled in to become part of the team. My main role is to manage accounts and payroll, although to add some variety and make use of my nurturing side I also hold HR support responsibilities.\r\n\r\nI enjoy varied activities outside of work: cycling, walking 3 dogs and all forms of anything crafty. <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

I manage the busy BEC toolroom, tool design and quoting new work that comes in. What makes BEC different? Our ability to produce full production tooling in prototype tooling lead times using all our in-house facilities. The diversity of work and constant challenges keeps things interesting. In my spare time I enjoy motorcycle trials, Enduro riding with my son and mountain biking through the New Forest.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>

I oversee the marketing, financial and business administration at BEC. I\u2019m lucky to have such a varied role working across advertising, events, PR, our website, and everything in between. A big part of my job involves working with each department and our customers on different projects, there\u2019s never a dull day! In my personal life I like to travel, go swimming at some of our lovely local beaches, or experiment with my pizza oven.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

BEC was initially started as a press tooling engineer company in the 1970\u2019s, the increasing popularity of injection plastics inspired our founder, Geoff Elvy, to instead offer clients an end-to-end tooling and manufacturing solution.<\/p>\n

Moving into producing filters for domestic appliances in 1982, this quickly expanded into further domestic appliances.<\/p>\n

BEC now manufactures bespoke filters for marine, automotive, transport and beverage companies across the globe.<\/p>\n

Clients from a diverse range of sectors have been coming back to us to manufacture their plastic products ever since. Once CAD was introduced; we took the leap in computer aided design, developing a simple formula to directly import CAD in CAM systems before they were invented!<\/p>\n

We are fiercely proud of our UK manufacturing reputation with requests coming in from all over the world. It\u2019s a reputation we\u2019re determined to maintain, it keeps us focused on delivering the best in manufacturing every time.<\/p>\n
