Solar Panels Installed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BEC Group continues to invest in sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint with the installation of solar panels on our filters block building. BEC used local contractors Barry Frampton<\/a> (based in Lymington) to supply and install thirty-four solar panels onto the roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The solar panels installed will help to supply the BEC factory and office with electricity throughout the day; reducing our reliance on the national grid, as well as our energy bills that like many other manufacturers are at an all-time high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plastics Recycling Show Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with BEC Group\u2019s drive towards sustainability we attended the Plastics Recycling Show Europe<\/a> in Amsterdam to find out more about the recycled polymers available to moulders, and how we can improve our in-house recycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PRS event was a brilliant way for the team to learn more about recycled materials, machinery, and innovation across the plastics sector. After facing difficulties sourcing a steady supply of recycled plastics in the UK, by expanding our search to European suppliers we were able to source a larger range of recycled materials including polypropylenes and ABS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A compelling talk from industry experts on the issues surrounding PET recycling and the circular economy touched on packaging, legislation, and food contact rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
